Ignacio V is a local songwriter and artist rising out of Linda Vista, San Diego. For the last couple of years, Ignacio has been releasing EPs, mixtapes, and collaboration projects with other local artists. A young artist, he is self-taught in composing, songwriting, producing, and playing various instruments such as the guitar and digital piano. These photos also showcase the inspirations that led to his promising career in the music industry. Well-renowned artists such as Tyler, the Creator, N.E.R.D., and Kendrick Lamar influenced him the most to pursue this journey.

The body of his music focuses on love/hate relationships, self-development, and nostalgia between lovers. Drawing from his life experiences throughout childhood and into adulthood, Ignacio's music highlights the struggles of people dealing with the grief of lost relationships and the feeling of desolation. In this series of portraits, Ignacio wanted to exemplify the courage needed to overcome hardship in life and the uncertainty faced by young people.

Ignacio hopes his music reaches those who struggle to move on from the past and helps them embrace the unpredictability of life. He envisions a future where internal struggles aren’t shamed and change is encouraged.
